Jamie is a dynamic defensive back with explosive speed and fierce instincts. He plays like every snap is his chance to change the game. His reaction time is different, his burst is different, and once he locks onto a play, it’s over. He’s got the ability to close space in a blink, reading quarterbacks, tracking eyes, and breaking on the ball with purpose. What separates Jamie isn’t just speed; it’s how he uses it. Controlled, disciplined, and combined with a relentless mindset, he turns coverage into chaos and mistakes into takeaways. Coaches should know they are getting a competitor who refuses to get beat, who takes pride in technique, and who brings energy, communication, and effort every single play. Whether it’s locking down a receiver, flying downhill to make a tackle, or flipping momentum with a big play, Jamie shows up with intent and leaves his mark.
His numbers and growth tell the story of a player leveling up fast. 6 pass deflections and 1 interception as a freshman only scratch the surface of what he brought, but the real improvement came in his speed and development. Dropping from 11.2 to 10.9 in the 100m and clocking 22.4 in the 200m, while also improving his long jump to 19.6 feet, shows just how explosive he’s becoming. He’s currently ranked #1 in Florida Class 1A in both the 100m and 200m, and that track speed translates directly to the field. His biggest motivation came from that first varsity interception, taking it 45 yards and nearly getting to the housing. From that moment, the mindset shifted. It wasn’t just about playing; it was about taking over, about hunting the ball every chance he got.
What makes Jamie so dangerous is the full package. Sharp, fast, competitive, explosive, and physical, he brings everything you want in a defensive back and more. Before the snap, he’s already working, reading the quarterback, studying body language, anticipating where the ball is going. That IQ, along with his speed, allows him to play a step ahead. His discipline stands out too, staying low, watching hips, understanding formations, and trusting his technique. That’s what separates him and makes him consistent.
His fire comes from competition and pride. Representing his family, earning his spot, and proving himself every day fuel everything he does. He doesn’t like getting beat, and that edge shows up in how he prepares and how he competes. Even when facing adversity, he doesn’t fold. He stays locked in, learns from mistakes, and keeps pushing forward. No excuses, just growth.
Off the field, Jamie brings that same focus. A 3.7 GPA student who understands that academics matter just as much as athletics, he’s building himself the right way. The goal is D1, and he knows what it takes. Strength, speed, technique, discipline, and consistency in the classroom. He’s not just chasing it, he’s working for it.
With an early offer from SMU and had visits to UF, USF, and FAU,. The attention is already there, but he’s just getting started. He’s looking for a program that believes in development, that feels like home, and one that allows him to shine in both football and track.
What a coach can expect is full effort every play, locked in on assignments, energy that lifts the entire defense, and a competitor who refuses to back down, no matter the moment.
I assess that Jamie is an explosive defensive back with elite speed, strong instincts, and a competitive edge that shows up every snap. His ability to read plays, close quickly, and stay disciplined in coverage makes him a disruptive presence on defense.
As he continues to develop strength and elevate his coverage skills, Jamie has the tools to become a high-level defensive back at the next level. His track speed, football IQ, and relentless mindset position him to keep rising and making a major impact moving forward. Stay tuned.
