Southwest Covenant School, OK

Gunner doesn’t just rise above the competition, he crashes through it. He is a dynamic force who blends length, touch, and tenacity, he’s a matchup nightmare that can dominate inside and stretch the floor. Gunner attacks the rim with purpose, shoots efficiently from all spots, and controls the glass with instinctive timing and effort. His mid-range jumper is smooth, his finishing is fearless, and when he explodes downhill, defenders better clear the lane, literally. His game is still evolving, but the foundation is strong: high-level feel, inside-out versatility, and a growing presence on both ends of the floor. This offseason, he’s focused on improving his handle, developing patience with the ball, and building more speed, strength, and bounce to elevate his all-around impact.

Shooting a blistering 61.8% from the field, while averaging 14.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.8 steals per game spraks loud and clear of his impact. . But his presence goes way beyond stats. Gunner’s scoring confidence and defensive motor took a huge leap this year, turning him into a consistent problem for opponents. One moment that defined the season was shattering a backboard on a dunk, ripping the rim down in explosive fashion. That wasn’t just a highlight but a statement of the power and passion he brings every time he steps on the court.

This AAU season, Gunner will play with Rogue 17U under Coach Ernie Barber, ready to showcase his game in high-level live period events. His goals are crystal clear: play at a high level, gain exposure, and earn a full-ride scholarship to keep living the game he loves. Every game is an opportunity, and Gunner is stepping into each one with focus and fire.

Next season, the mission is to make school history. Gunner wants to lead Southwest Covenant to its first-ever state title and be part of one of the first teams to compete in the new Big House. That drive, that hunger to etch his name in something permanent, pushes him every day. What fires him up most is seeing teammates get big dunks or make game-changing defensive plays—it’s never just about him. He plays for the team, the moment, and the mission.

When facing adversity, Gunner locks in controls what he can, and stays mentally dialed. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, “Quitting is not an option. Pain is temporary.” That drives him on hard days, in tough games, and during every early-morning workout.

I assess that Gunner’s blend of size, efficiency, and explosiveness makes him a a high ceiling forward with real two-way value. He’s not just a project; he’s already producing, and as he adds strength and skill, he becomes a legitimate next-level problem. Coaches looking for a long, aggressive, and coachable player should keep a close eye on him.

With his relentless work ethic and natural tools, Gunner is just scratching the surface. His potential is massive, and as he continues to grow physically and elevate his skill set, expect him to become one of the most exciting bigs in Oklahoma. He’s got the frame, fire, and focus to leave a lasting legacy. Gunner is a man on a mission to reach "The Big House." Playing with purpose and passion, he will look to shine bright. Stay tuned.
