Brett is the definition of a gritty, all-around competitor who impacts the game on every possession. His fearless finishing around the rim, combined with his defensive intensity, makes him a nightmare for opposing guards. Whether it’s jumping passing lanes for steals, blocking shots, or forcing turnovers, Brett’s defensive motor sets the tone for his team. He’s dives for loose balls, hustles back to break up fast breaks, and outworks everyone on the floor. Offensively, he’s a versatile guard who can score, rebound, and dish it out when needed. Even though he’s still evolving his shooting and ball-handling, his growing confidence has transformed him into a reliable shot-maker who thrives under pressure.

This past season, Brett averaged 11.5 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks per game, with his biggest improvement coming from his shooting, especially from midrange and beyond the arc. He capped his season with an almost triple-double in the final game, scoring 24 points, while adding 11 rebounds and 8 steals in a dominant performance. His offseason is focused on continuing to elevate his shot-making and ball-handling to take his point guard game to another level. Playing AAU, Brett and his team turned a corner this year, winning multiple tournament finals after falling short the season before. It’s proof of both his individual growth and the relentless energy he brings to every game.

Brett thrives on the big moments, the crowd, the atmosphere, and the thrill of delivering in clutch situations fuel him. When facing adversity, he attacks it head-on, refusing to back down and turning challenges into motivation. The best advice he’s ever received is, “Just play your game, have fun, and play basketball your way”. This has fueled his belief that he belongs on the court no matter who he’s up against. Coming from Plainfield, CT, Brett knows how hard it can be to get noticed, but that only pushes him to grind even harder and prove his worth every single day.

Off the court, Brett enjoys spending time with his baby sister, nephew, and friends. He’s constantly on the court playing the game he loves, whether it’s with his team or just shooting around in his free time. He also enjoys NBA 2K, hitting the gym, and working out to track his progress and keep improving.

I assess that Brett’s relentless hustle, defensive edge, and ability to contribute in every phase of the game make him a valuable guard who coaches can trust to lead by example. His motor, versatility, and willingness to do the dirty work elevate everyone around him.

As Brett continues to improve his shooting consistency and ball handling, his all-around game and toughness will make him a force at the next level. Expect him to be a leader for Ellis Tech this season, helping them push toward their playoff goals while proving that hard work always finds its way to the spotlight. Stay tuned for this rising senior to make a statement.
