Ivan is built to impact the game from everywhere on the floor. He brings size and toughness to go with a versatile skill set, comfortable posting up smaller guards, stepping out to bring the rain, slashing to the rim, and handling the ball under pressure. His ability to play four positions makes him a matchup problem, and he thrives on doing whatever is needed to help his team win. The fire he carries for the game comes alive in the details, the squeak of sneakers, the bounce of the ball, the whistle of the ref; every part of it fuels him to compete at a high level.
This past season, Ivan averaged 10.5 points per game, and his confidence was his biggest improvement. He became more comfortable shooting, trusting his shooting touch, and playing with the belief that every look was going down. That mental shift was his biggest step, and it showed up in his willingness to take and make shots when his team needed him. Now his offseason focus is on building stamina, reshaping his body, and staying in peak basketball condition to keep that same competitive energy all game long.
For Ivan, the most meaningful part of the game is being out there with his teammates, battling and having fun while giving it everything they have. He’s looking forward to next season with a DOGG mentality, playing hard every possession, being the best version of himself, and earning the attention of college programs. When facing adversity, he responds by working harder, hustling more, and doing the dirty work others shy away from. It’s a toughness that comes from his father’s advice, "There will always be someone better, but if this is what you want, you fight to beat that person every time, even if it takes a thousand tries."
Off the court, Ivan enjoys time with family, going on walks, hanging out with friends, and finds peace and guidance in reading the Bible. Ivan’s faith is the foundation of everything he does, both on and off the court. Reading the Bible gives him strength, direction, and a sense of peace that carries into his game. He knows that his talent and opportunities come from God, and he makes it a priority to give Him the glory. That connection fuels his perseverance through adversity, reminding him that his work ethic and dedication are part of a bigger purpose. For Ivan, basketball is more than just competition, but a way to honor God through his effort, discipline, and the way he carries himself every day.
It’s that balance of competitive fire and grounded focus that makes him not just a player to watch, but a person whose dedication will carry him far.
Ivan’s versatility and willingness to take on any role make him a coach’s dream. He has the size and physicality to bang inside, the handles to create, and the confidence to score from outside. His relentless effort on both ends can elevate a college program, especially one that values players who do the little things at a high level.
Expect Ivan to continue evolving into a dependable two-way presence. With his improved confidence, focus on conditioning, and drive to push through adversity, his ceiling is rising. If he continues to mix his all-around game with his growing mentality, he will be a name to watch. He is poised for a breakout season ahead.
