Fabian brings high IQ and a fierce competitive edge. He looks to set up his teammates first, but he can change the speed of a game when the moment calls for it. He's comfortable pushing in transition or slowing things down to find the right play. Whatever the defense gives him, Fabian wants to turn it into something that helps his team win.

Last season, Fabian served as team captain and averaged 9.8 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.6 steals while shooting a blistering 42% from three. He led his team in all three of those categories, finished No. 1 in District 1 in steals and No. 2 in assists, and ranked among Florida 2A’s Top 15 in steals and Top 40 in assists. FACA All-State and All-Academic honors followed, along with team MVP. For Fabian, those honors also reflect the teammates and coaches who helped him through the season.

The biggest improvement in Fabian’s game since last season has been his strength. It's helped him finish through contact and hold his own against bigger guards. He's also become more patient with the ball, learning when to change speeds, make his move, or create a look for someone else. That growth matters to a guard who wants to control the action without forcing it.

Fabian knows people can look at his size and make up their minds before seeing him play. He's answered those doubts through consistent training and by competing hard on every possession. He trusts the hours he's put in and lets his play do the talking.

This offseason, Fabian has worked on his shot, handles, finishing, and decisions with the ball while continuing to build his body. His goals at Niceville are to win the district, reach regionals, and make a run at a state championship. He respects the school’s basketball tradition and the talent on the roster, and he wants to earn his role by helping the team in any way he can.

The work behind those goals starts early in the morning and sometimes continues late at night. Fabian knows the tough days are part of it, so he keeps showing up, stays humble, and tries to be the first one in and the last one out. That discipline shows in the way he approaches each day, even when his body is sore and the work gets hard.

Fabian believes his defense is the most underrated part of his game. He wants opposing guards to work for every touch and every shot, no matter how much size they have on him. When he steps on the court, his coach can expect a calm voice, full commitment, and a point guard who can be trusted with the ball when the game gets tight.

His faith in God, his family ,and the coaches who believed in him fuel that drive. Fabian knows how much his family has sacrificed and doesn't take their support for granted. He's thankful for every chance he gets to play, and the desire to prove himself keeps him hungry.

I assess that Fabian’s value starts with the balance he brings to a lineup. He understands that a good possession doesn't always end with him taking the shot, and he can help other scorers find a rhythm without fading from the action himself. That unselfish approach gives his team a floor leader who can help its offense feel settled.

Fabian has a chance to make his mark through the choices he makes in close games. When opponents try to speed him up or take away an easy option, his ability to find a useful answer will matter. As he keeps sharpening that part of his game, he can become a guard who makes the whole team tougher to beat.
