While scoring continues to grow as part of his game, Caleb's identity starts on the defensive end, where he takes pride in locking people down, protecting the rim, and making life difficult for anyone who attacks the paint. He finishes through contact with confidence, scores efficiently around the basket, and loves the challenge of blocking shots. As his ball-handling, leadership, and overall offensive game continue taking big steps forward, Caleb is becoming a versatile two-way force capable of impacting every possession on both ends of the floor.

His middle school season and AAU experience gave him the chance to compete against outstanding talent while continuing to grow as both a player and a person. Caleb finished as the second-leading scorer on his middle school team, earned All-County Tournament Team honors, and helped his Jr. EYBL team go a perfect 4-0 against elite competition. Playing up a division against ninth graders at The Root made those accomplishments even more impressive, as he averaged 7 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks while proving he belonged against bigger, older competition. More than the numbers, Caleb values the opportunity to compete with and against high-level talent because every experience helped shape him on and off the court. Winning with his teammates, building friendships, and learning valuable lessons through basketball are the moments he treasures the most.

One of the biggest improvements in Caleb's game over the past year has been his ball-handling. After taking the advice of his coaches and trainers to heart, he dedicated himself to tightening his handles and improving his control with the basketball. His work at The Point Guard Camp added another layer to his development, giving him more confidence with the ball in his hands while helping him create bigger plays on both ends of the floor. Those improvements have also earned him more leadership opportunities, showing the trust his coaches have in both his game and his character.

The biggest challenge Caleb has faced wasn't something that happened during a game. Choosing the right high school was one of the toughest decisions because he wanted to find the best place to continue developing as both a basketball player and a young man. That decision ultimately led him to Parkersburg Catholic, where he believes he can continue growing while preparing himself for the next level. This offseason, he has focused on becoming a more consistent shooter while continuing to live in the gym, put in work in the weight room, and get stronger every day. His goal for his freshman season is to earn quality varsity minutes and contribute in every way possible.

Winning is what fuels Caleb every time he steps on the floor. No matter what adversity comes his way, his focus never changes because he wants to compete, battle, and help his team come out on top. Coaches can expect relentless effort, nonstop hustle, a next-play mentality, and a teammate willing to embrace whatever role gives his team the best chance to win. As he begins his freshman season, expect Caleb to continue expanding his offensive game while controlling more of what happens on the floor. With his defensive mindset, growing offensive confidence, leadership, and willingness to do the little things, he has every opportunity to make an immediate impact at Parkersburg Catholic.

I assess that Caleb already has several qualities that separate him from many young prospects. His defensive instincts, rim protection, physical finishing, rebounding, and willingness to embrace tough assignments give him a strong foundation to build upon. The improvements he has made with his ball-handling and leadership have added another layer to his game, while his commitment to improving his perimeter shooting points toward even greater offensive versatility. His team-first attitude and competitive nature make him valuable in every phase of the game.

Caleb's ceiling continues rising because he refuses to become comfortable. Every year he adds another weapon to his game, and his dedication in the gym and weight room shows he understands that development never stops. As his shooting becomes more consistent and his confidence with the basketball continues growing, expect him to become an even more complete wing capable of impacting games with defense, rebounding, scoring, playmaking, and winning habits that coaches love to build around defense first, built to control the game.
