Max is a crafty, electric guard who lives to break down defenders and light up scoreboards. He is a true three-level scorer with a silky-smooth touch, he brings a high-powered offensive game that starts with his confidence off the bounce and ends with a strong finish, whether it's a dagger from deep or a fierce attack at the rim. He’s a lethal pull-up shooter who can stop on a dime, a smart and steady floor general who leads with purpose, and a strong ball-handler who thrives in chaos. Defensively, he brings effort and high-level awareness, using positioning and IQ to stay in front and disrupt plays. Max plays fast, but he plays smart, and he plays to win.

This past season, Max averaged 17 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal per game while shooting a blistering 46% from deep and 87% from the free-throw line. His biggest improvement was in his leadership, strength, on-ball defense, and overall speed, helping lead Rochester to a district championship, their first in 12 years. He’s doesn’t just impact the game, he’s a game-changer. Max is locked in on building his body and becoming even more physical on defense, especially when matching up with bigger guards. His offseason goals are to elevate every part of his game and get a D2 offer by dominating on the AAU circuit with Hopson Elite. With goals of averaging 24 points, 6 assists, and shooting 50% from three, Max has circled the Indiana Gym Rats tournament as his spotlight moment.

What drives Max most isn’t scoring; it’s getting stops. Defensive energy fuels his fire, and when facing adversity, he responds with poise, trusting his preparation and relying on his faith and work ethic to overcome anything thrown his way. The best advice he’s ever received is, “The best ability is availability.” And that’s exactly what he brings: consistency, leadership, and a complete game that coaches can depend on.

I assess that Max’s explosive scoring ability, high IQ, and all-around impact make him a dynamic weapon for any backcourt. He has the skill set and mental approach to lead an offense, set the tone defensively, and shift momentum on both ends. His confidence and discipline are tools that can translate easily into a college system that values effort, shooting, and toughness.

Max is just scratching the surface. As his physical strength and offhand development continue to improve, his production will only climb. With his relentless drive, defensive pride, and fearless scoring ability, he’s built for the next level. Expect big things this AAU season and an even stronger run next high school season. Stay tuned.
